3 Things To Say When You Walk Into A Business

October 15th, 2021

There is a technique for everything. Every job or task you have to do, there is a proper way of doing it. Continue reading this article to understand and know the 3 things you must always say when you walk into a business.

Be Cheery

You must sound very happy to see the person in charge. Don’t overdo it but sound as happy and confident as you can when you address them.

Tell them it is nice to meet them.

This cheeriness in your voice would automatically set a positive air around you and the other person.

Small Talk is the Way to Go

No one likes small talk, we know. But to make your conversation with the individual at the business a successful one, you must engage in neutral small talk. This would get the individual to pay you some mind.

This would also get the initial hesitance out of the way, from both sides. Weather could be a great neutral topic to speak about. It is something that anyone would be comfortable talking about.

Have An Excuse Prepared

You must always have an excuse prepared for your visit to the business.

Never portray that you are solely there to visit the business, rather show that you had another reason for the visit to the area and decided to drop by.

You could always pretend like you were visiting someone in the area and thought you’d show up here to check out what’s going on.

The reason why you should adhere to these techniques is because once you’re at the business, you need to establish the fact that you are not there as a customer, rather you are there to strike up an offer yourself.

This conversation may awkward for some to have as it is one thing to think about it in theory but another to practically do it. To remove the awkwardness from the equation, you may also want to mention another client that you have nearby to let the other person know that you provide a service and are looking at the business as a future potential client.

After mentioning the client, present your proposal. If you stall it any longer, the conversation would become painfully awkward to have. Let them know the path you wish to pursue. Sound as pleasant and jovial as possible to leave an impact in the mind of the client.
